Overview
NSW Health is the largest public health system in Australia, serving a population of over 8 million people with a workforce of more than 140,000 full-time equivalent staff. As of 2026, it operates 228 public hospitals and an extensive network of physical and mental health services across the state.
Problem
To support the enterprise-wide rollout of a new digital rostering platform, NSW Health required a scalable training solution to standardise staff understanding of complex rostering policies and shift-swap protocols. The objective was to transform technical procedures into an engaging learning experience that ensured immediate policy compliance.
Solution
I led the end-to-end development of a high-impact e-learning module, managing the project from initial conceptualization to final deployment:
- Instructional design: Authored the technical script and developed comprehensive storyboards for stakeholder alignment.
- Visual development: Utilised Adobe Illustrator to create a bespoke suite of bold, modern brand assets and infographics.
- Interaction development: Built the final module in Articulate Storyline, incorporating immersive interactions to facilitate active knowledge transfer.
The module was highly successful in driving rapid adoption and compliance. Post-implementation analytics confirmed a 95% completion rate within the first week of staff onboarding, significantly reducing the learning curve for the new system.
