Overview

Broadspectrum (formerly Transfield Services) operates as a fully integrated part of Ventia, one of the largest essential infrastructure service providers in Australia and New Zealand. Following its acquisition in June 2020, the Broadspectrum brand was retired and absorbed into Ventia’s unified operations, consolidating its market-leading expertise in large-scale asset management and maintenance services across the defence, transport, and utility sectors.

Problem

In preparation for a large-scale corporate relocation, Broadspectrum required a comprehensive safety induction to ensure all personnel were compliant with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies specific to the new office environment. The primary objective was to achieve 100% staff compliance and policy alignment prior to the move-in date.

Solution

I spearheaded the end-to-end development of a custom e-learning induction module, integrating high-level corporate messaging with technical safety requirements:

• Instructional design: Synthesised diverse policy documentation into a cohesive script and developed detailed storyboards for stakeholder approval.
• Multimedia production: Produced an executive video introduction featuring the CEO, managing the entire lifecycle from the live shoot and audio recording to post-production and final integration.
• Creative & technical development: Created bespoke vector illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and engineered interactive learning components within Articulate Storyline.

The project delivered a seamless transition to the new facility, with post-implementation analytics confirming that 100% of staff successfully completed the mandatory training with a positive feedback rating of 95%. The inclusion of executive-led video content drove high levels of engagement and reinforced a culture of safety leadership throughout the organisation.
